Logitech last week unveiled the new G Line for PC gamers. The new line-up includes six redesigned mice and keyboard favourites and two new headsets.

Logitech hailed the new line of a triumph of science. For example, to improve durability and comfort, advanced surface materials were added to strategic tactile zones discovered through testing. For heavy contact zones, Logitech added fingerprint-resistant coatings, while palm areas feature a hydrophobic coating to help keep players’ hands from sticking.
Depending on the model, the mice also have a soft or dry grip for increased comfort and control. The two keyboards, meanwhile, feature a double UV coating on the keys for extra durability and long life, and a fingerprint-resistant coating on the faceplate.
The G100s and G400s Optical Gaming Mice feature “Delta Zero” sensor technology, Logitech said. This is a new sensor technology that accurately responds to hand movements. All of the new G Line mice also feature friction PTFE feet, reducing drag for faster motions, smoother cursor movements and improved accuracy.
The mouse line-up is headed by the G700s Rechargeable Gaming Mouse, which, Logitech claims, offers the report rate of a wired gaming mouse. It also features 13 programmable controls that lets users programme single actions, complex macros with multiple keystrokes and repeating and user-defined delays.

The rest of the mouse line-up consists of the G500s Laser Gaming Mouse, the G400s Optical Gaming Mouse and the G100s Optical Gaming Mouse.
The new keyboard line, meanwhile, consists of the G19s Gaming Keyboard and the G510s Gaming Keyboard. The headlining G19s feeds a steady flow of information, including vital stats, game-specific apps and customisable information panels in full-colour on an integrated GamePanel LCD. The keyboard also includes anti-ghosting over 26 keys, custom-colour backlighting and two USB 2.0 ports.
The G Line also includes two headsets – the G430 Surround Sound Gaming Headset and the G230 Stereo Gaming Headset.
Yousef Atwan, Regional Director for the Middle East and Africa, Logitech, had bold statements to make about the new line upon its launch.
“Just as gamers are compelled to beat levels, our engineers are compelled to test scientific theories. For close to 20 years, the relentless pursuit of what’s next has been our game – and we’re pretty darn good at it,” he said.
“With Logitech G, we will continue to push the limits of speed, precision, reliability – even intuitiveness. We do it because gamers expect us to push the limits as far as they do. Every inspired design choice and late-night engineering argument serves but one purpose – to help gamers play their best. When science wins, gamers win.”
