Fans of Angry Birds are getting a taste of the Red Planet with the release of ‘Angry Birds Space’ by Rovio. The Angry Birds Mars Curiosity update will have 20 new levels and will be set on the popular planet Mars.

In this update, players would have to deal with explosive volcanoes and hit asteroids to topple the antagonist piggies after hijacking the rover of Curiosity Mars while they look for eggs. Young players and even the not-so-young can enjoy the new Martian-inspired game from the Finnish game maker which is not only fun-filled but also informative.

Rovio has teamed up with NASA to produce a game that includes NASA Web content links on the Red Planet’s exploration and missions as displayed in the game. Audiences will become more aware of NASA’s Mars exploration and will have more understanding of the planet’s wonders in a game of fun and entertainment. Aside from the game’s 20 new levels, the updated version also features a new astronaut pig and two “antenna egg” levels. There are three hidden rovers and landers that players can search to get special bonus levels and more information on NASA’s missions. The Angry Birds Mars Curiosity update is now available for Android and iOS devices. It is downloadable from Google Play and the App Store.
