Details are still very sketchy at the moment, but word is that Google’s Chrome OS will be offering some form of remote desktop feature, dubbed Chromoting, allowing users to access legacy PC applications right within the browser. This would go some way to addressing the issues folks would have with moving to a new platform, especially if they have Windows-specific programs that are essential for their work. Of course, there are web services that have been offering such features for some time now, including LogMeIn, and GoToMyPC. Will such a feature encourage you to accept Google’s Chrome OS when it’s launched, or are you still skeptical about what the OS is capable of?
