Gamers from Tokyo have a good reason to celebrate as they get the first hands-on experience with the new Playstation 3. As unveiled in the Tokyo Game Show, the Playstation 3 has a smaller and more streamlined design that will enhance anyone’s entertainment hub as it boasts a reduction in its size and weight by 25% and 20% respectively.

Available in two distinct models of 250GB and 500GB HDDs, the Playstation 3 allows gamers to manipulate the storage value of their digital lifestyle with superior gaming privileges tapered according to their evolving gaming behavior. Developers understand the need to continuously provide deep and rich digital content in gaming and a larger HDD option as essentials for full game downloads, large DLC-packed games, and personal entertainment needs.

With the holiday season coming up, there’s no better way to make it more exciting than to grace it with the new PS3 that would enable access to the biggest and best games exclusive to it. The new Playstation 3 will hit the store shelves in two color offerings. The “charcoal black” model, bundled in 250GB, has September 25th as its coming out party and will be selling at $269.99 (102 BHD).

It will be packed with ‘Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception’ Game of the Year Edition. On the other hand, the “classic white” version is arriving on the 22nd of November. Those who are seeking for the bigger 500GB charcoal-only version would have to wait till October 30th when the ‘Assassin’s Creed III’ is released. Information on pricing is scarce at the moment.

‘Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception’ includes 12 new multiplayer maps, more than 40 multiplayer skins, Shade Survival Mode, and Fort Co-op Adventure. It is the latest installment in the UNCHARTED franchise of Naughty Dog which chronicles the exciting adventures of Nathan Drake. Its Game of the Year Edition is a great idea to give an extra boost to one’s gaming experience with the newest PS3 offering. The game can also be purchased as a standalone title on the 25th of September with a price tag of $39.99 (17 BHD).
