Galaxy S5 Samsung’s next generation flagship Smartphone coming in with new batch of rumors now being hauled as one whistleblower (who also predicted the announcement of the Galaxy S4) pointed that the S5 will be launched on February 23 in Barcelona before its supposed unveiling at the Mobile World Congress.

According to Eldar Murtazin’s tweet (@eldarmurtazin), the highly anticipated Galaxy S5 is scheduled to be announced on the 23rd of next month and should be launched by the end of April. Murtazin also said that its previously leaked price will be the same, together with the already divulged specs and will incorporate a new TouchWiz User Interface.

The date said by the tweet is exactly a day before the MWC in Fira Gran Via in Barcelona, Spain.

Sammy also said that they will forego with the rumored iris scanner on the S5 as this will lay down several problems, including unlocking the Smartphone in a poorly lit environment. They will instead focus their attention to fingerprint scanning, which for some is a bit more subtle when you really want to protect your device against unwanted visitors.

The Samsung Galaxy S5, for those who haven’t heard, will flaunt a 5.2-inch display screen with 2,560 x 1440 resolution, 3GB of RAM, a 16-megapixel rear camera, a fingerprint sensor and, as stated above, a new TouchWiz UI plus a 3,000mAh battery.

It will also be available in both metal or plastic and should offer the user an option to go with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 or the company’s new Exynos CPU.
