Sony Ericsson PlayStation Phone

Listen to this article

The uber-rumored PlayStation-branded phone is real, or at least, it’s becoming a reality since it’s been handled and pictured but not yet announced by Sony Ericsson. The upcoming gaming-ready smartphone features a design similar to the PSP Go and is set to run Android (probably Gingerbread).

Seen below, the PlayStation Phone features a 3.7 to 4.1-inch touchscreen, a rear facing camera with flash, a 1GHz Qualcomm MSM8655 chip, 512MB of RAM and 1GB of ROM, a microSD card slot, gaming-specific buttons and a touchpad for even greater control while in ‘gaming mode’. A release date is still unknown but Sony Ericsson may be waiting for early 2011 (and CES) to officially unveil the phone.
