The Wolverine is a soon-to-be-released superhero movie which features the popular character from Marvel comics known as Wolverine. It is the sixth iteration from the series of X-Men films directed by James Mangold and features Hugh Jackman in the title role. Other film credits go to Mark Bomback, Scott Frank, and Christopher McQuarrie for the movie screenplay.

The film is based on the limited 1982 series Wolverine created by Frank Miller and Chris Claremont. Casting of the supporting actors began on July 2012. Jackman’s movie character will be supported by a totally new set of characters portrayed by actors such as Hiroyuki Sanada, Hal Yamanouchi, Tao Okamoto, Rila Fukushima, Will Yun Lee, Brian Tee, and Svetlana Khodchenkova. Based on the names, fans would think that the movie will have a Japan setting which is not really far from being true. After initially filming at New South Wales during the latter part of July, the cast and crew moved to Tokyo in August 2012 then went back again to New South Wales two months later.

For post-production purposes, the film was then converted to 3D. Scheduled to be released on July 24, 2013, the film promises more action-packed scenes and more blood sightings. You can get a glimpse of the Viper, the Silver Samurai, Jean Grey, and Famke Janssen from the six-second video preview.
