Beats Electronics, a company which has launched Beatbox and Beatbox Portable, is now adding the Beats Pill to its successful lineup of quality speakers and headphones. Designed to snatch the title away from the defending holder Jawbone’s Jambox, the new portable speaker delivers wireless audio experience while keeping up or even going beyond speaker style stereotyping.
The Beats Pill portable speaker is a pocket-friendly device, literally and figuratively speaking. It can easily fit inside your pocket for that added mobility if you’re the type who likes to run around a lot. Moreover, it doesn’t hurt your budget with its amazingly low price point which makes it a competitive new entry into the portable speaker market. Several connectivity options are also available for the diminutive speaker.
It features NFC, Bluetooth 2.1, and various ports such as micro-USB input, 3.5mm input for Bluetooth-free music playing, and 3.5 output for audio to audio music sending. With colors such as black, white, and red, the cylindrical-shaped speaker can also act as a speakerphone with its on-board mic at the front. It turns off automatically if it feels that after 30 minutes, there’s no audio being streamed. There are tactile buttons for volume and power manipulation. The whole package comes with a cable of 3.5mm to 3.5mm, a USB 2.0 charge or data cable, AC power adapter, and a carry case. It’s now up for grabs for the price of $199 (BHD 75).
