Research in Motion (RIM) has been busy for quite some time now as the company preps up on unveiling BB10 series next week. Telekom Presse, an Austrian publishing company, certainly knows how to dig up as they had the privilege of doing an early hands-on for the handset.
The Z10 is still in pre-production considering that it has large stickers on the back and labels are hidden including its serial number (video below). To begin with, the Z10 has a weight of about 125 grams or 4.4 ounces. The hands-on video shows that it comes with a removable cover on the back. In terms of display screen, it boasts a 4.2-inch panel that has a 720p capability. The processor embedded on it that is tasked to run the different functions is a dual-core 1.5GHz ARM Cortex A9 TI OMAP 4470 paired up with 2GB of RAM. Operating system (OS) is the in-house BB10 OS which seems to be pretty neat as it runs smoothly and flawlessly as depicted in the video. Tinkering with the OS in the video reveals the BlackBerry Hub on the phone. Storage would not be a problem as it has 16GB of internal space.
More details can be expected once it goes official. For now, details on the price as well as availability of the Z10 are still dim.
