Dell is coming out with its new multi-touch display which is slightly smaller than its current at 23-inch. The 21.5-inch S2240T is a touch monitor with a resolution of 1,920 x 1,080 similar to that of the big brother. A feature that is unique to itself is its ability to lay flat and the sliding base from where it stands can tilt up to 60 degrees for comfort and convenience.
Common features can be found such as VGA, DVI and HDMI ports while power consumption stays at the manageable 20W. The size and the price make the unit user-friendly and flexible for both professionals and students. In addition, its touch capability is at 10-point while brightness has a 3000:1 contrast ratio. A user can slide the panel towards him for ordinary touch and type routine while enjoying the view provided by the tilt. It’s been EPEAT® Silver rated and complies with the latest ENERGY STAR guidelines.
A closer at Dell S2240T indicates its intuitiveness from all angles and simplicity in form and design. Aside from sporting a bigger display size, the S2340T also has a 90-degree articulating stand for a face-up lying of the display. While the big brother (S2340T) is sold for $699.99 (BHD 264), the S2240T is cheaper at only $399.99 (BHD 150).
