Dell Streak: officially announced

Dell has just officially announced its new device. Dell Streak is a hybrid of smartphone and tablet computer. It is powered by Google’s Android 1.6 operating system that will be soon upgraded to 2.2 version. It is notable that in contrast to Android tablets this device has access to Android Market. Another remarkable feature is quad band GSM/GPRS/EDGE and WCDMA/HSPA 850/1900/2100 MHz networks support.

The list of other specifications of Dell Streak includes 5 inch capacitive multi-touch capable screen with 480×800px resolution, 5 Mp camera with autofocus, frontal 0.3 Mp camera for video calls, 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon QSD8250 processor, 256 MB RAM, 512 MB ROM, MicroSD external memory card slot, Wi-Fi (802.11b/g), Bluetooth 2.1 with A2DP, GPS, digital compass, accelerometer, motion sensor, 1530 mAh battery. The dimensions are 152.9×79.1×9.98mm, the weight is 220g. At first Dell Streak will be exclusive to British O2 mobile operator. The release date is 4th of June. No word about price.
