Dell has surprised its fans, amongst everyone else, with a new announcement found on their Japanese blog. All hot and fresh, it made known the new and more eco-friendly Dell monitor.
The U2713HM features a 27-inch AH-IPS LED display (Advanced High Performance IPS), a first of its kind. This increased the viewing angles up to 178 degrees horizontally and vertically, which will allow the sight and reproduction of an object on every angle available. The screen has 2,560 x 1,440 (Wide Quad High Definition) resolution – over 3.6 million pixels. This is environment friendly because of its 37% reduction in power consumption compared to the U2711. Energy consumption decrease is possible because of the quick transition to sleep mode and automatic adjustment of screen brightness caused by the power management software.
The new panel is also user friendly featuring full adjustability on tilt, height and pivot which lets the user switch it to portrait mode. Other technical specs included are HDMI interface, Display port, VGA, DVI-D with HDCP, USB 3.0 hub, a DC power connector for Dell Soundbar (AX510) and an audio. Dell has developed this for years, proving itself to still be one of the biggest computer manufacturers of this generation. The new Dell U2713HM AH-IPS LED panel is already available in Australia and Japan for $599 (BHD 226).
