In New York they have the yellow cab, but in London there is the black cab. However, this cab is a little bit different to your standard black cab. This black cab is the first fuel cell powered cab. Developed by Intelligent Energy, the cab actually includes both a fuel cell with a 30 kW net output and a 14 kWh lithium polymer battery pack.
Top speed for this beauty is 81 MPH and acceleration from zero to sixty in fourteen seconds. Thus, it’s no slouch!
Currently, these cabs aren’t in full production, but the first fleet will be released at the same time as the 2012 Olympics.
