HP’s popular 14-inch Pavilion dm4 is getting a slight makeover that includes Beats Audio, a subwoofer, and an optional backlit keyboard for $629. And for those who really like the blacked-out look, HP is offering the dm4 in a slick $899 Beats Edition, similar to the Envy 14 Beats Edition that debuted a year ago.
Get all the details below and be sure to check out our hands-on gallery of the dm4.The dm4 will weigh 4.5 pounds, measure an inch thick, and be available with either an aluminum dark umber or a steel gray metal finish on the lid and deck. Like the previous dm4t, it will have an HD webcam, HP CoolSense, and HP SimplePass with a built-in fingerprint reader.
The Beats Edition will have an all-black soft-touch exterior and a red backlit keyboard. The optional Solo HD headphones will be a option and will only be offered to those purchasing the dm4 Beats Edition.
