The iPhone 5 is the most recent update of Apple’s smartphone, unveiled the iPhone 5 on September 12, 2012.
Here are the new iPhone 5 specs:
– Glass and aluminum design; offered in black and in white with a silver aluminum finish.
– 7.6mm thin (18% thinner from the previous version)
– 112 grams – a 4-inch display. 1136×640. – 44% more color saturation: now fully sRGB.
– all previous software will work exactly the same; no scaling issues.
– Ultrafast wireless technology; HSPA+, DC-HSDPA, and LTE (single chip, single radio, dynamic antenna)
– 8 hours battery life for LTE
– New Wi-Fi, 2.4ghz and 5ghz on 802.11n.
– A6: 2x faster CPU, 2x faster graphics, and even smaller.
– iPhone 5 camera specs: 8 megapixel sensor, 3264×2448,
backside illumination, hybrid IR filter, five-element lens, f/2.4 aperture, 40% faster on photo capture, panorama capability, better low-light performance – Shared Photo Stream with Facebook integration for easy photo sharing with family and friends.
– iPhone 5 video specs: 1080p video, improved video stability, face detection, take photos while recording
– The front-facing FaceTime camera takes 720p HD video.
– Three microphones (top, bottom and back), noise canceling; wideband audio (Apple fills up more frequency spectrum to make call audio sound even better.) – Siri integration with apps.
– New connector: Lightning. All-digital, 8 signal design, adaptive interface, improved durability, reversible.
The iPhone 5 will reportedly hit the stores on September 21, 2012.
