The tablet is powered by a dual core 1200 MHz (1.2G Hz) MediaTek MT8317T ARM Cortex-A9 processor working alongside with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean OS. It has 1024MB RAM and 16GB built-in storage that is still expandable via the microSD and microSDHC slot up to 32GB. Further, IdeaTab A1000 takes pride of its 7-inch display powered by PowerVR SGX531 graphics processor at 1024×600 resolution and 170ppi. Connections with the device are possible through 802.11 b/g/n WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0 LE, USB 2.0, Computer sync, and OTA sync.
For the music enthusiasts or close to being such, you don’t have to worry as two front speakers featuring surround sound technology is also included in the tablet with Dolby Digital Plus certification Its 7.83 x 4.76 x 0.42 inches (199 x 121 x 10.7 mm) houses a 3500 mAh battery and a 0.3 MP VGA front-facing camera. Although already bound to be released this second quarter of 2013, no information regarding the price tag has been provided yet. Many believe, however, that due to its low-specced nature, the A1000 would be offered below $200 (BHD 76).
