Olympus the camera manufacturer plans to add another model to its offerings the PEN Lite E-PL6.
The forthcoming Micro Four Thirds shooter shares some of the features on E-P5 but with better price tag. It is a mirrorless interchangeable-lens camera boasting 16 megapixel sensor, 3-inch tiltable capacitive touchscreen display with 460K dpi, SDHC/SDXC card support, TruePic VI engine and fast focusing feature are some of the notable attributes you can expect on the E-PL6. But unlike the E-P5, the E-PL6 doesn’t have WiFi connectivity or the 5-axis stabilization capability.
There is now a growing demand for compact mirrorless cameras and Olympus makes sure that it is on top of the food chain. With the new E-PL6, photogs will benefit from its fast AF system (similar feature found on the popular OM-D E-M5) which when combined with the Touch AF Shutter function allows you to capture images instantaneously by simply touching the LCD panel. The tiltable display has 170-degree swivel function allowing more flexibility and ease when taking self-portrait shots. Art Filters are also pre-loaded into the E-PL6′s system for numerous artistic combination.
The Olympus PEN Lite E-PL6 will debut in Japan next month in several colors including White, Black, Silver and Red. It will be offered in body-only, with lens kit or double zoom kit.
