Panasonic has just released its Windows 8-powered 20-inch tablet PC with a screen that has more than four times the resolution of a Full High Definition display. Alongside its 4K UHD screen is an equally cutting-edge stylus. With its high-precision stylus, detailed manipulation of graphics on the 3,840 x 2,560 resolution touch screen is well-guaranteed. For instance according to a press release, an editor can put jot down instructions for revisions of a paper directly to the 4K tablet screen that has the qualities of a printed media such as that of texture rich rendering, natural hand-writing and a light weight and thinness for easy mobility. It allows wide viewing angle and ultra-high resolution images with superb color reproduction. Further, with an aspect ratio of 15:10, it can display an A3-size paper in almost full size.
The tablet weighs 2.4 kg (5.3 lbs) and measures 18.7″ x 13.1″ x 0.4″. It also has 1.8GHz Intel Core i5 34207U vPro in it plus a not yet specified Nvidia GeForce graphics processor. The model has a 230ppi screen as that of Apple’s Retina display on its iPhones, tablets and laptops. The prototype is also said to have a 4GB of RAM, and a 128GB solid-state memory. Further, its price tag is nowhere to be seen yet.
