Samsung is going out again with a new Windows 8 tablet, the ATIV Tab 3, which carried most of the features from its Android-driven brethren within the Galaxy ancestry. This means that the common Galaxy apps such as Air view and Easy Clipping as well as handwriting-to-text now works compatibly with Microsoft’s latest OS although they may have evolved from the Android. It is somewhat similar to the Galaxy Tabs save for the thinness and new specs introduced.
The 10.1-inch slate runs a full Windows 8 seamlessly within its thin form factor at 8.22mm touted to be the world’s thinnest or closer than that. Even then, the Z2760 Atom processor rightfully sits inside with a good RAM at 2Gb for faster internal processing and apps’ response rate. Battery life stands 8.5 hours which is an improvement and ideal for a tablet wearing 1,366 x 768 display and weighting only 550g or 19 ounces.
It comes with the Office Home & Student free of charge plus the usual S Note software and the accompanying S Pen, and a keyboard cover. The new ATIV Tab 3 hits the market by August with a price tag of $699 (BHD 270). Samsung has been announcing new gadgets or devices in recent weeks with release dates to come at the soonest possible time.
