What you’re seeing above is the newly-fangled Samsung Galaxy R under a 3.7-inch WVHA Super-LCD Touchscreen, runs a single-core 1.4GHz CPU, Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) for its platform, 4GB internal memory plus an expandable microSD slot along with a 5 megapixel rear camera that can shoot videos.

Obviously, this phone is not meant to replace Galaxy S II, but there’s no question Galaxy R simply outranks the previous Galaxy S device last year making this handset a good alternative once it hits UK and probably, the rest of Europe on its release date next month.

For those who are unaware, Sammy has announced its naming strategy for its handsets whereas ‘S’ is the king of all which stands for “super smart” as in, it sets as a flagship device. Meanwhile, ‘R’ stands for Royal / Refined where users can expect “combination of power, performance and productivity” while you’re using it.
