Apple’s next Operating System update, the iOS 8.2 alongside the WatchKit SDK was only released to developers for them to create certain applications for the upcoming Apple Watch. The OS however has yet to see its beta stage, but one hacker have already given us an early Christmas present.

The China based TaiG jailbreak was released recently and was seen to be compatible for both iOS 8.1.1 and the iOS 8.2 beta. Team Evad3rs’ MuscleNerd also confirmed the jailbreak and said that it works on the iPhone 6, 6 Plus, 5S, 5C, 5, iPhone 4S, 5th generation iPod Touch and iPads 2-4, iPad Air, Air 2, iPad Mini, Mini 2 and Mini 3.

During its first few hours, the TaiG jailbreak was a Windows exclusive jailbreak but since then, it has blessed the Mac for users to jailbreak their iOS 8.1.1 devices.

Again, the tool is compatible to devices running the iOS 8.0-8.1.1 and the 8.2beta firmware. If your device is within the boundary, turn off any lock screen passcode our Touch ID as well as the Find My iPhone under Settings – iCloud – Find My iPhone.

Next is to restore to iOS 8.1.1 via iTunes and backup your files and other important files using iCloud or iTunes. Download the TaiG jailbreak for Windows and connect your device using a USB and run TaiG.

Uncheck the second option below Cydia and click the green button to start the jailbreak. It is important that your iOS device must remain connected during the process. Once it’s done, your device will reboot and should it is done correctly, Cydia will be installed on the home screen.

Once finished, download the TaiG jailbreak, restore your iOS device to 8.1.1, connect it via USB, run the jailbreak, uncheck the second option, click the green button and wait for it to complete the cycle.
